Fancy a night out watching some of the best spoken word artists in the country at Todmorden’s coolest venue?

 

Writer and performer Kate Fox’s latest poetry collection, The Oscillations, was published by Nine Arches Press in February and is a recommended read for National Poetry Day 2021. Her sellout show about Northern women, Where There’s Muck There’s Bras, has been turned into a book that will be published next year.

Toria Garbutt is a spoken word artist from Knottingley in West Yorkshire. Since bursting onto the scene in 2014, the punk poet has been a regular support act for John Cooper Clarke. She released her debut album, Hot Plastic Moon, in 2016, and her first poetry collection, The Universe and Me, was published in 2018.

Ralph Dartford’s first collection of poetry, Cigarettes, Beer and Love, was published in 2013, followed by Recovery Songs in 2019. His new collection, Hidden Music, will be published in October. He is the founder of the spoken word collective A Firm of Poets and lives in Bradford.
