Brian Groom is a journalist and expert in British and regional affairs. His career began in Yorkshire and he later worked as assistant editor and political editor at the Financial Times. He also launched and edited Scotland on Sunday, the Scotsman’s Sunday paper. Originally from Stretford in Lancashire, he now lives in Saddleworth.
