Andrew shares exercises and techniques to invigorate, improve and inspire your poetry. Andrew McMillan’s debut collection, physical, was the first poetry collection to win the Guardian First Book Award in 2015. The collection also won a Somerset Maugham Award, an Eric Gregory Award, a Northern Writer’s Award and the Fenton Aldeburgh First Collection Prize. His second collection, playtime, won the Polari Prize 2019. His third collection, pandemonium, explores the inner world of mental health through an engagement with the natural world. He is a senior lecturer at the Manchester Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
